This song was written by Sam when he was dealing with the loss of his grandfather. The title Not You means two things within the writing of the song the first obviously being disbelief in losing someone you love and the other reason Sam called it Not You is it was something he grandad would jokingly always say when he would visit as a child "Oh no not you..."
